Well its the 2nd time ive surfed this storm spot. We have been calling it "Bathtubs". The whole beach to myself and not one surfer coming to check it both times!!!
cott was as close to firing today as it can ever be. scored meself a left all the way from adjacent the end of the groin through to the sand churning in front of the tearooms. and speaking of, tearooms was serving up some fantastically fun churners. witnessed some near flawless barrels grind along, despite the wind. challenging (seriously fun) takeoffs followed by a nice little wall for a few hacks before trying to fight it out to get another. best i've surfed it in quite a while, but just like other perth waves, prolly not gonna last.
There's something satisfying about surfing a storm swell at at a place that normally resembles a lake I reckon. Well done dude.
Yeah there is something about surfing a once a year spot (at best).
dodgeing old pilons was pretty crazy.
heaps better waves not far away but it was out of the wind and special :)
heaps better elsewhere^^^^^^^

i said i wouldnt post good photos of the new spot.
Super clean on the beaches this morning with a light offshore and some good banks. Nearly no one out so it's a good chance to score some uncrowded waves.
^^^^ Spot on report... Strong southerly drift at secret beachy
Clean waves, finally some banks, low crowds. All in all a good session. Jelly arms now
This was the day before the storm hit a few days ago, swell was a good direction for this spot, started out glassy then went light side-shore for a while before it was all over.
^^^^ The guy in the first pic is doing it wrong.
Unless he nailed that cray.

Im guessing thats how id do it
Nice little clean surf this morning at a beach near me. I rolled up right on first light but with clouds and not a sole out it took me about 15 minutes to get ready, just as someone else showed up Had a ball but it was super difficult picking the waves rolling in in that light as it was glassed off and the ski and sea just rolled into one..
Eventually the sun came out and blinded me and work was calling so called it a day. Had a few fun waves after being out for a few weeks. Hopefully holds till tomorrow morning
On a positive note the beach sand was absolutely pleasant to walk on
Not really mate first time driving today for 2mths,see doc in 3mths trying to get off crutches by then I hope ,start pyshio on Monday .
