He's just turned 7 and yes Andy toaster is back in the kitchen. Pretty tricky doing the water based shooting but the crew seemed be Ok with it.
Two tips if I may, more licking of the lens for those water drops and maybe get the young bloke to swap the leggie to his back foot rather than the front, I always hate the feel when the leggie gets caught under your foot.
Cheers

Thanks for that. A question if you don't mind. Did it make any real difference going from a Foam board to glass board for him?
My son who is 9 surfs on a Elnino 6' and it just seems clunky at best. Its slow and doesn't seem to have the glide i would have liked. Well at least too me it looks like those two factors maybe holding him back a bit. He has excellent balance and is constantly trying to trim the wave up and down and I'm thinking a glass board may help him with that?
But struggle with size to get him and what shape to buy? I could ask a shaper but i really don't want to spend $500 on a new board for him (just yet) so think thats a bit rude. I have spoken with Dave at katana and will probably get an inch of the nose rounded for safety and maybe the soft FCS fins that you can get.
Any suggestions would be mint thanks.
Looks like you have lots of fun times ahead there. Enjoy!! There are a few blokes up my way who bring their young blokes out in the morning before school - its amazing how fast they improve.
yep JB he's been on a glass board from the start, he learnt on one of my kneelo's which was more like a SUP for him but the volume helped him to get balanced and learn to ride the foam. That board he is on cost $530 and he sold two of his boards to get it. We have a couple of great guys down here that have shops and they have been really cool to deal with, PM me for more details on that. When conditions suit he can paddle into waves but the duck diving is a work in progress so he still needs jet ski assist (Dad) to get out the back!
