good to see JP went a bit lighter on the crazy EURO trance graphics.

I rode the NORTH HERO this year.
Its gotta be the most underrated sail on the australian market.

I saw a pic of kauli on a 3 batten hot sail. Looked like it was a jaws from memory.

The Naish board in the first three pics looks alot like a surfboard outline, real gunny. I guess its a wave board so that makes sence but thats the closest Ive seen a sailboard look like a surfboard!!

If my eyes don't deceive me, it looks like JP have gone back to a 93L Thruster for 2014

You know what I just realised. If you took out the bottom batten of that sail and made the second batten a half one you would have a sail very ( and I mean VERY) similar to my tyronsea wasp circa '86

If you're surfing the wave more than anything else, which is more important? The sail or its weight?
I imagine you want the sail to get you out in an "OK" fashion and then "disappear" as much as possible when on the wave.

NP Combat in black looks cool.

In 2014 they will lose a batten or two.
In 2015 they probably go back to basic.

Exocet has 3 batten sails for 3 or 4 years now...it's not anything new.

2014 Severne Blades:

Due to the fact Boujmaa is using a blade, I would say that it could be quite possible that severne may have discontinued the Gator in the 2014 range.

Also, lots of 2014 Gaastra in this vid below (posted before but in other topic):

Bouj doesn't have a massive BLADE written on the bottom of his sail.

I reckon they look a bit phallic to me. :)

The middle ones look like the speed boards, conveniently numbered 2,3&4. I wonder how many in the set.

That's one way to look at it Des.

The middle ones are the new Slalom boards a blend of the old Warp SL and latest RS models. We should have some demo shortly.
The range goes from RS Speed to RS7, the RS2-3-4 and 7 have been updated the others keep the same shape/outline but new graphics.

Here are some additional pics:

The Exocet team recently competed in Le Defi Wind and won the event (Patrice Belbeoch') and 2 other riders in the top 10.
Patrice managed a top speed of 41 knots on the first race on the RS3 (100L for 64cm wide - 7.0m sail - 35cm fin). Feedback from other riders, Patrcie was definitely he fastest on the course, whether off the breeze or tighter reach.

Enjoy,
Remi

The results of the RS3 are fantastic.

Patrice sent me an email talking about the performance of the RS3 and RS2

RS3 41 knots
RS2 45 Knots

Hi Russel,
I have been using the 2014 RS 3 and 2 during the event but mostly the 2 has the windy was pretty strong, sails sizes 7.0 and 6.3
I believe i had a really good top speed and very consistent compare to others but i had a lot more control and replacement on tight reach, overall the new gear is working really well, i haven't tried to make some GPS run in flat water in clear and clean condition but during the event i had some top speed of over 41 knots in pretty rough condition with the RS3 and 35 cm fin & 7.0 sail, trust i could push it to over 45
I did some GPS with the RS2 and 6.3 for 10 mn in between the races and went over 45 knts so boards and sails seems to worked well
Thanks
PAtrice
