Yesterday was arriving day for the pro's so with a gentle 25 knot breeze a few people got out on the water to get ready for the forecasted super windy days today and the next few days, here's a few images from yesterday.

is A2 using an asymmetrical boom?
YAR
see the review thread on the Evo6 for more detailed pics on the boom (and sail)
Chris, I think Craig did 44's on a 6.3 and big board, peak of about 47 on gps. It's really hard to get going at the start due to the lighter/gusty wind so he wanted to get some runs in, today is supposed to be windier. It's brutal though, wind is relentless and the sand etc.
I never even noticed the assy boom until now and I was taking pics of it all day?
Spotty has set up his own Facebook page if you need info etc on his trip www.facebook.com/AussieSpeedWindsurfer

damn beat me to it!
just got off Skype with the big maaarn,
its about 9am in Luderitz and he's going to fuel up for the day at the all you can eat buffet breakfast.
Spotty said its really tricky to get started on the course and is looking forward to getting a few more runs under his belt. Has been using the 6.3 ka race and 47mistral.
Go Spotty GO!!
Day 2 had about the same conditions as day 1, 30 knots average. Hans Kreisel had the fastest peak today of almost 52kn, he's got 1 of 2 new fins that could be the key, Patrick had the other but damaged his. I did something not so smart today , lying face first on the waters edge in the mud with the water housing while Albeau flew past within 30cm at 100km/h. You can barely notice the "second" boom arm in the pic of AA. Fits the outline of the sail so its camouflaged!
Will Windsurf Australia be making a movie about Luderitz like they have for Cervantes???
Kevin, we are here for a specific reason so hopefully our plans work out but dealing with the Namibian Government has a process and takes time so we will see.
Day 3 produced the same 30 knot winds as the previous days so mostly photoshoots were the go, image scan be seen here www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.662431427120422.1073741835.299496563413912&type=1

Not much wind here in Luderitz the last few days so here's a quick look at what Turkish speedster Lena Erdil has been up to, includes our near miss with a monkey near the South Africa/Namibia border on the way up - never had to say "watch out for the monkey" in my whole life while driving!
AA's run
A2 makes negotiating the slow down area at 45+ knts look like child's play

Keeping it short before internet cuts out!
Albeau last out of the water last night.
Here's an update from Lena after week 2 , features some of the first aerial footage we did during the week.
