Firstly, Thanks to all those who put forward their designs for my new board. I could not settle on one that was submitted but it did spark some ideas in my head and I came up with something of my own. The board is now under construction and should be ready in about 4-5 weeks.
Here's my design concept that I've come up with...
The board is 102L, Length 229cm, Width 62cm and is going to be fitted out to run as a Single/Twin/Thruster/Quad...Nothing like a bit of versatility It will have an FCS plug just behind the rear footstrap to be used as a GoPro mount, Not real sure if it will work but no harm if it doesn't. I'll upload some pics during the construction phase to show the build progress, Can't wait for summer
Thanks again to all those that had a go at the custom graphics, I really appreciated the effort you went to. I'll keep the prize for something else in the future.
Cheers Jase
maybe you could also put a go pro insert on the nose like they do on sups (comes factory on some cabrinhas)
Pfft - I like my designs better!
Seriously though, a nice looking board there jh - hope she rides as good as she looks.
as Sean suggested i would put the plug at the nose as i have seen some good footage from that angle but would think it might be too close to you from just behind the rear strap, your call tho!
Thanks to all that have given positive feedback, I like what I've come up with and can't wait to get it on the water. The reason behind the design is a one board and 3 sail quiver, I plan to travel a bit over the next year and I want to keep my kit to a minimum.
If it looks used when you get it, it is because i took it for a test run heheheh!
Just kidding, i like the idea of multiple boxes for different conditions and can see that it will work in a larger board, especially as a single travelling board.
This boards will weigh in @ 6Kg to 6.2 Kg bare of footstraps and fins with these cut down/ sanded US boxes
