well its still a new toy.
but guys remember this thread is kinda to sea what is comming out in 2008 and 2007 from different brands, to get an idea of what out there and where the sport is going
but still new toys ARE GOOD TOO new boat or new second hand toy etc
will get up my new toys as soon as they hit the shop. got a couple of new sails a new mast and a new board coming. very happy indeed!
Maybe learning on the heaviest, most unstable board/sail combo possible has its advantages. Like I said, Bradman learned with a stick and golf ball (we are going off topic now).
Hey Jordo is that dacron I spy ?
Haircut, stop it your making me want to buy new boards, mmmmm carbon
There is such a thing as having too much gear... I've been selling mine off, and the closer I get to the magic number (1 board, 1 mast, 1 boom and 2 sails) the better I feel...
Nah 2 boards for me 2 for the GF and 4 sails between us. Life is sweet
Sail em till they fall to pieces and that only takes a cupla seasons in W.A.
Greenroom - Is that a thin plastic coated epoxy F2 Axxis on top? sweet boards - loved the 272 I had years ago - wish I'd never got rid of it.
i bought an old fanatic gecko 105 ltrs salom 96-98 vintage , sailed it today had a ball on it , it went farster than a cat with turps on its bum and cut through chop like a hot knife through butter
F2 had a great generation of boards then. If I come across an Axxis 262 (smaller bump & jump) for sale in good condition I'd still buy it now - they were brilliant in very strong winds (very quick and controllable) and small waves.
oh yea i forgot to flash my gear!
its not that exciting but its my first ever brand new piece of windsurfing kit so im excited
The Old F2 Axxis 272, was great in moderate conditions - would have loved the 262 - oh well
As you can see it was a little big for me
I had a F2 Axis and would agree entirely.. Great Board
My old F2 Sputnik Speed and Gybe edition popped up at second wind for $150; Great buy for a beginner....
Did someone say Axxis ? Mines a 267. I still use mine as its worth nothing to sell, still a gr8 board
My brother bought a Tiga 285 (not sure of literage) years back when he was starting out for next to nothing. Came with a whole heap or extras aswell. It's still worth bugga all but you would never get what it's worth to us now days. It's the same with my dads old TC Beacher and others old boards. You would never get what they are worth to you. Both boards still in mint condition and i still like sailing both of them when i get around to it. I got an old yellow 'Wind Energy' fiberglass wave board aswell that came from the stone age i reckon. Yet to sail it because theres no more room on the ute but i'm sure i will some day. However it's on its last legs and will probably delaminate within a couple sails.
