Grant Long died today after a long battle with cancer. Lake Macquaries number 1 windsurfer, I will never forget our many battles. I will dearly miss him.

Very sad. It's been going on for a long while, hopefully he and his family can get some rest now.
For those who did not know Grant, he was the first Australian to ever win a Worlds in any class of board. Always seemed like a really nice bloke.
sorry to hear we lost a local sailor.. and a great one.
i'm sure he will be missed by all the local guys who used to chase him every saturday.
very sad, my condolences to his family.
guys could you post a picture up of grant as it has been many, many years since i raced against any of the old crew and putting faces to names is a bit misty especially since we were all teens back in the eighties.

Grant's funeral will be held at Lake Macquarie Memorial Park Cessnock Rd, Ryhope Tomorrow (Wednesday) 23/4/08 at 10am.
