I've heard about this guy. Apparently the villagers thought he was crazy because they would see him disappear into the distance and not reappear for days. They thought he was a nutter.

Good on him I say! Congrats and keep the passion alive.

So, Greece stole all the wind

Shame they have no money to buy kit to enjoy it

yeah right, you'll find the general population pretty well cashed up done by avoiding paying taxes all these years, thats partly why the country is up $hit creek

We spent the summer in Greece 2004. We were in Athens during the Olympic games.
Their no. 1 sprinters (1 male,1 female)were due to give a drug test , but they did a runner when they got a knock on the door and took off on a motor bike together, crashed and went into hiding. They were thrown out of the olympics.
The bloke sprinter was supposed to light the flame at the opening ceremony.

Nikolas the windsurfer got to light the flame at the opening.

He got the silver medal(after 2 races he won were dropped) to go with the gold he got in 96.

We are planning to go back 2012 and are already excited.Greece is an absolutely awesome windsurfing destination

some pretty fast sailing in that video for such a light guy
he has got fantastic technique-the trim is pretty much perfect-

i love watching footage where you can feel the speed- and that video does it rather well

i worked with him on some wave stuff here in WA last year- we werent real lucky with conditions

he is very driven and motivated.

I am pretty sure he has retired from racing and is now just wavesailing and doing the occasional adventure - like the one in the video

Met Nick last year at the Homestead where he spent a couple of weeks with his wife. Very chilled and pleasant guy and even a decent wave sailor.

I believe he is heading back to WA this year so make sure that you say hi to him should you see him on the WA coast
