Here at Hervey Bay now in our 6th month of fickle wind is this the solution to get us out on the water?

Move to melbourne, Vic is now the new WA. And we have been getting about 3 days a week of guys totally powered up on there sinkers. Come over for a weekend and sail Rye in a Northly or do some wave sailing at sandy point in a SWestly Vic may be cold, but least we have wind, every where else around Australia seems to be skunked for ever...

this weeks forecast:

Really ..... what was K Dog offering????

HB gets some good winds. Just not all week long

Chose your gear wisely to what wind is offered. It's silly to own a 80 ltr sinker with a 4.5 sail, in HB and expect to sail it every weekend (that board is better for those special days at Gatakers on a strong Northerly)

I have 4 boards (too many BUT they are hard to sell nowadays so ...)
- BIC Fanatic 140 ltrs (PERFECT for HB almost every day)
- Hybrid 280cm race slalom (approx 110 ltrs, that works well from 15 - 25knts). I owned one of these years ago and traded it for the next board, and then only recently I found one again, and I can honestly say I'm holding it tightly now ..... it's a keeper . If there is a Northerly blowing in the Bay, this is the board that I'd rather use for straight line speed (there is no top end speed on this board, it JUST GOES FASTER until you freak out)
- Hybrid 280cm freeride board (100 ltrs). Softer rails and musher to get on the plane, but comfortable in the chop of the Bay.
- JP 258cm wave board (ONLY good for Gatakers, BUT a very good board when it gets going). Actually my favourite board BUT it doesn't get used very often

Sails vary from 4.2 - 5.8 freestyle wave, with a 6.5 race slalom and a 8.0 (no cams) freeride sail. Outta these I use the 8.0, 6.5 and the 5.8 the most (the rest are for better days).
