We managed to get up in the air at Luderitz yesterday and explore the entire coast, really beautiful place so here's a few images from the air or the canal and the rest are here www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.667643176599247.1073741845.299496563413912&type=1
The turn downwind doesn't look so tight from the air!
looks like a 30degree change in course? Great pictures though! Didn't know the canal was that close to the water
Actually got photos of someone in a rental car doing donuts from the air, better not post it till I find out who it is. 11am here and wind is 20knots, expected to be 30+ again then no wind for at least another week so heaps going on today. Been trying to post photos here from yesterday for 6 hours but internet drops out every 1 minute so one last try soon.
Thanks for persisting and getting these onto Seabreeze Col. It is really interesting to see the canal from the air.
This is interesting.
The Namibians have dumped many of the German place names and replaced them with ethnically acceptable names. Luderitz is now !Nami=Nus, with the symbols indicating two of the four click noises used in the local Khoekhoegowab language.
It's now officially unpronounceable
This photo points s/sw which is basically the direction the wind comes from, down through the gap in the hills.
Just had someone tell me they did donuts for us while we were in the air, last person I expected it to be!
