OK, so I'm a total Loaded slut, I admit it.
This tube is really cool, shows the new dance board in a really different environment.

skillz!

i skated in my yoof, and those boys are pulling off some very impressive tricks given the size (and I assume weight) of their boards. love that assisted kickflip!

Looks fun. It's good to see a video with some real humour in it.

I like the idea of a long board but I fear it would my compromise my dignity as an old fart. It would be ok if I had the style and the moves, but a balding, grandfatherly dude noodling around on a skatey on people's driveways just seems wrong.

Dignity schmignity !!
Noodling along a quiet road or a footpath is OK though. It has the "Official Old Fart" stamp of approval.
Longboards travel so well on even quite rough bitumen. Smooth hot-mix is a dream.
The Kirra/Coolangatta path (no expansion joints) is my favourite place to go, and I don't really have too many moves. I just like the childish freedom of it. Just working on some basic footwork and turns on the board, and that alone is tuning up my balance a lot.

Growing old is a state of mind. Just bought myself a Loaded Dervish for my birthday. Street surfing at its best. Once I get the kids to bed and do my jobs for the night I go out for a street skate. Great way to end the day.

Still very rough on the tricks however its nice to get a bit of pace up and just work the board. These boards just keep on rollin'.

The direction and conditions were not really for me. Looking at the chart, I would have been lucky to get going , I think.
I was pretty knackered from working, and the drive didn't really appeal.
I'll catch up with Matt next time I'm in Maui.

I went for Orangatan Durians 75mm 83a. Got all inspired after watching the You Tube thread on the Whirling Dervish. Have just put a set of Bombsquad nose protectors on the board. Took a while for them to arrive from the US however saves the ends of the board from getting too badly bashed.

Another great place to skate - shopping centres after they close for the night. Those down ramps and big open car parks make great skate spots. Had a couple of funny looks from security when they see a couple of old blokes ripping around, however they don't seem to mind.
