Too true. Awesome barrels. What's the water temperature? Imagine how such a cold, dark hold-down would feel? Beyond the experience of us warm water West Aussies....

Usually about 9C at that time of year.

Looked like the jetski rider had fins tied on in case he had to swim in, so they are well prepared.
Reminded me of when Finn tied some fins on to go and be the first to windsurf Aileen's below the 700' Cliffs of Mohr and with no backup, he was going to have to get himself out if he got into trouble.

9C sounds absolutely horrible. That article you linked to looks very good. Very nice pictures, but scary looking...

You have to keep clicking right to the next page. There is the photographers story and then Finn's story, which contains the pictures of him on the waves, which are about double mast high.
