I am just working on a quick eject sleeve pocket knife... first prototype worked well on ropes of someone who didn't look where he's headed and lowered the kite directly infront of me.
What made me think of that ad was from the other day when out sailing and came across a kiter who had become seperated from his board. The guy was body-dragging across the wind waiting for his board to drift down to him.
Thought that it looked like bloody hard work so stopped and threw his board to him. No skin off my nose and the kiter was very appreciative.
Not 20 minutes later, had a different kiter, who was on give-way tack, stop and change directions (not sure what the kite lingo for that masterful maneouver is called) right in front of me.
He then starts this battle of forcing me upwind. He keeps looking back at me with the same expression of the character in the ad - crazed eyes, tongue lolling about his mouth.
No probs, not interested in this as I want to go further downwind so bear away and this dingbat lowers his kite in front of me and starts forcing me downwind.
Unfortunately this puts us on a collision course with the students learning to kitesurf. I gybed before we got there, but this tool sails full belt through the learner area.
For the record, I will still in future stop to help someone who clearly needs it as it is only the ding-a-lings who give the rest the bad name.
^^^^^^yep, same in all sports,
More than enough dancers also dont understand the surf rules and f@ck it up for all.
All you can do is have a friendly chat to the dance/kiter so they know the deal.
And why do poledancers always follow you right to the beach?????
Leaving you no other choice but to ride up into 2 inches of water, stop, and wait for them to disco around their pole and turn.[}:)]
Where do they think you are going to go when you run out of water???????
common sence people.
