After just renewing my WWA membership, thought that I should get some sail numbers made up.
Had a bit of a shop around but am getting quotes of between $80 - $140 each and with 5 sails on both sides, this is adding up.
Looked at the new sail number rules and think we've got it right, but wondering if anybody knows where to get this done with a more reasonable price.
Also for the "AUS - XXX" numbers the entire sticker with the white/opaque background is almost 1.5m long. Just wondering if I got the right rules on this.

For that much money I'd buy a few textas and just write numbers on my sails or get black electrical tape and stick some numbers up Viking rune style.
Are you contacting sign writers? Most have vinyl cutters and should be able to cut some numbers and letters out at not too great a cost.
I found a great guy in Canberra who did a fantastic job on my stickers and has very reasonable prices. See Jeff at addcolour - ph 02 6280 4106 or www.addcolour.com.au for a quote. They were half the price of anything I've seen on seabreeze before and he takes care of the artwork for nothing unless it's really intricate. It would be especially worthwhile to get a few people together as the price would be even cheaper (something to do with the size of a vinyl roll). Here are a couple of photos of my new numbers. He also made me some boxing kangaroo stickers because I wanted something extra when I compete in the Prokids freestyle and slalom World Championships here in Bonaire at the end of July. I'm really starting to look like a legend now (Kai and Robbie) - hoping to out-psyche the other under 11 year-olds ...and it worked

Longwinded- your quotes about what I paid, Quick signs in Osborne Park- hes done a few sail jobs for me, logo stickers as well.

The numbers for the rules make them pretty big, so I went for best fit on my most used sail. (but my prettiest sail is the "illegal" black numbers on clear)
last option: Sailmaker and some black stickyback, and a night or 6 in front of the telly!
I would be interested in getting some numbers made up too, i've just joined up this year and been given AUS-059 so i'd be happy to team up with a few others to save some $$

But I think I would spell my heros name right.
Specially if I was looking for some sort of sponsorship.
Robbie would be pretty relaxed about kids spelling his name a bit differently.
He would be happy a Naish sail's photo is posted on this forum. 
surely wwa could have some buying power considering how many members it has.
It would be good if we could use our members numbers to get discounts on other things also
IE: gear insurance etc
I guess I should go into business, is there a market out there? How much are people willing to pay for their numbers? Suggest a fair price and I'll see what I can come up with.
I have all the stuff to do it, here's mine and from memory they cost me about $20 in materials and about an hours labour in design, cutting and application.
Mine are not AWA compliant but I'm sure I can't do them as well.
