So I managed to rip the foot off my sail today, it's a 6-7 year old NP spirit so I'm not sure if it's worth repairing but I quite like the sail. Here's some pictures of the damage:

Any ideas how much it would cost to repair the foot of the sail? Is it worth doing or will it change the characteristics of the sail?

Anyone know any sail repairers in NSW, preferably Newcastle?

Cheers.

Bob Fussell Marine Warners bay - 4958 4488. I generally use them . Boardcrazy has a sailmaker they use..Mackellar..? anyway they are in Belmont.Doesn't look like it should be too expensive..

Adam,

JM sails - 4975 5664 - 0413 996 634

Jason looks after the local formula guys and is very good - he is located on the western side of the lake at Wangi Wangi ( the place is so good they named it twice).

I have also used Bob Fussel (been going there snce I was a nipper) but they take a while.

Shouldn't be more than 30 - $40. Probs worth it.

Last time I went looking for him he wasn't there? I thought he must have closed shop.

I still do sail making, but work night shift aswell.

The place is 27 summerhill Drv Wangi Wangi, opposite the mine road and old power station turn.

If you call either number please leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I can. I do sleep a bunch of the day from doing night shift. But make time for the sail repairs, just finished a big rebuild on a pryde formula sail destroyed the luff panel under the mast sleeve.

A repair like that wave sail tack will be around $100

Mobile is best to catch me on its 0413996634, land line is 49755664

sounds like a sensible cost to me, must be over an hours work. If you love the sail it is probably worth it.
