OzPricey,
Excellent little vid and especially love the no hands triple flip with a twist loop attempt right at the end.

I think it's called an Air Flaka - something most of us can only ever dream of doing!

None as yet, but they're hopefully not too far away.

Its called a Shaka. Campello invented it as a Shoveit into a fLAKA. If you do it off the lip and remain on the wave its a backside 3. Thats what Simon Hurrey was doing. bastard! hehe

...cool moves... cool stacks... cool music...

stark contrast to those "professional" movies where they only show the good stuff (ie. no stacks)

In the interest of respecting local sailors and keeping the thrill of the search alive, names have deliberately remained unnamed.

The shakas a pretty standard move now, it was once referred to as 'the impossible' or something.. But now there is not much street cred doing them off the back of the wave like this .. Its Ok doing them at a freestyle spot like Gerroa, not when there are epic waves behind you!.. Here I was tired, bored of crashing and was hoping nobody was watching!

.. But doing shakas on the face of the wave is the holy grail (back side 360).. A lot more kudos for that. Same as goiters vs ponchs...

You say that barn and on an international level you are right but how many Australian windsurfers are there that can shaka? I reckon maybe 20, probably more like 10 The move itself I reckon is vastly impressive, more so than most moves that have come after it (imo), campello ftw

Buster, thanks for tagging your drawing, otherwise I would have thought it was a giant jellyfish

BTW - that must have been one humdinger of a hangover not to even move when splashed with cold water.
