hey thanks everyone for your concern last week when i was paddling back to shore at shearwater. I got out there... but couldn't get started again. I'll keep practicing my deep water starts eh?

PS I'm a very strong swimmer, heaps of surf experience, blah blah, 12" cock, brass balls, I've body-boarded pipe at 15 foot, i'm invincible, overconfident...etc etc. nah, i can swim, don't worry about me : )

got to eat some humble pie that day (and i overcame my fear of sharks). but i can't practice waterstarts all day, and the water at crab is. is sooo turquoise, worth it just to stand there for a bit.

during conveyorbelt action not much can happen to you except making it hard to get the sail out of the water and getting run over by a waterbogan cruiser or jetski they've been particularly strong tides lately though

hey mr evlpanda, no need to eat humble pie, you will soon find there are no ego's to battle when windsurfing, when others offer advice or help it is simply that, offering advice or help, we have all been there mate!

I was telling you about my buddy I taught last year, he was at the same stage your at now, the next thing for you to learn is super easy, once you have done it, you will wonder why you struggled with it for so long!

If you go to shearwater today, ASK!!!!!!!!! one of us, we will spend a few minutes and show you how to get those water starts going for you, Haircut is easily one of the most knowledgeable and talented windsurfers on the coast here, and he is more than willing to offer a willing hand, now if you dont know who Haircut is, Ill leave that to you to work out! ( Hint, looks just a little bit like Dr Evil haha).

Have fun mate, hope to see you out there this arv!

actually haircut the tide hardly seemd to matter today, I have sailed 2 days at sw now on tide with wind and it was no issue due to wind strength it was easy to stay upwind, so Im going to head there around 1ish tmrw.
