And regarding the gear you can fit in: in our recent trip to Burrum Heads we had-
72 wide fanatic
67 wide exocet
59 wide naish
44 wide carbon art
2x 7m stealths
1x 6.4 stealth
2x 5.8 stealths
1x 5.2 stealth
5x masts up to 460
2x booms
2x boxes for windsurfing gear
bag each, sleeping gear, laptop etc
could have fit another board in if we wanted
plus 2 guys in relative comfort for the 3.5 hour odd trip and about 750km's on 1 tank of fuel.

A Mate bought an ex Taxi, Falcon station wagon, had LPG, vynl trim, bench seat in the front, was a great car, apart from the red bonnet, but a stack of windsurf stickers would make it look the part, like a Maui Cruzer..

I cant quite make out the badge. It looks like a Lamborgini but the badge looks like a Porsche? What ever it is, I want a green one

Im pretty sure its a VT or a VX commodore, possibly a berlina. Not to sure. Looks like it needs a pair of rola roof racks tho.

On the topic of wagons, I've got a spare set of roofracks to suit an EF or EL falcon wagon or sedan. $50.

PM me if interested.

I've just had this put together for my next trip to Coronations.

Not sure if its big enough, I might still need a trailer

Bet you won't get 750kms on one tank of gas though! Maybe 7.5kms...

"Dad, wheres the Duct tape?"
me, (half awake in front of the TV): "In the second drawer"
"Dad, where are those cardboard boxes?"
Me, "Back of the shed"
"Dad can we use some Alfoil?"
Me, (the V8 race on TV is at a crucial moment): "What?...sure."

The race finishes and there is strange laughter coming from outside.

"Dad, where is the camera?"

Methinks: What am I, an organic home Google? Hmmm, better see what is going on.......

I was thinkin either the Holden Commodore Wagon or the Ford Falcon Wagon.

But thanks anyway champ!

I have a Holden Adventra LX-6 and depending on how many sails I take I can get up to 4 boards, 3 booms, 4 masts, etc, in the back with still the front seat and room behind me for a dog create.

Would you think it would be better to spend a little bit more money to buy a berlina as opposed to an acclaim or exec. Generally do berlinas hold their price

What fancy features do you get with a berlina?

Cheers Guys

Very Noyce

Measure it before you buy it. I've heard the load space is significantly shorter than that of the last lot of commodore wagons. A few inches makes a big difference, I've tried the slightly shorter Magna wagon.

You don't get it. Function comes before looks when it comes to windsurfing wagons. When it comes to sportback wagons, they are quite impractical. I'd rarther have the big arse Commodore wagon than one with its roof half chopped off. Anyway a van is better than a wagon when it comes to windsurfing.

Fair enough for you to kite as you are only a kid and don't know any better.

You don't need a wagon but you need a mini bus to get enough helpers down to the beach to ensure you can get going and come back in without killing yourself or passerbys.
