Hi All,

Got one of these boards ages ago and only "tried" riding it once and have since moved onto more modern gear. Haven't looked back really...

Anyone ever have one of these and are they worth keeping around. I like the retro graphics and am half tempted to take her out but am not sure of the literage and if she'll get me in trouble or not so so usually go for my newer stuff.

Love to hear your nostalgic stories about this old bird. Is she fast for instance?

I Had one in 1988 and it was awesome. It got delivered with a 1st generation carbon mast. Got the custom done in plain white with fluro pink lettering. Was a great board and gave me some great times until....... I landed a jump flat and creased it

Good memories

i would have fitted the fin boxes and footstraps to that puppy!

those were the days sniffing resin fumes in our glassing bay with penthouse centrefolds plastered all over the walls!

Great board although outdated now. I have a windaction combat wave pro in flouro. I just replaced it with a naish onshore wave board so now its going to be momento in the garage wall. I've also replaced the isonic with a naish freeride

I'll take a pic and put it up tonight.

New designs and colours are going back to the old 80's style. Take a look at the fanatic skate. Fluro is in. Noth sails are also putting a lot of fluro in their current designs.

Maybe it just needs a minor facelift like taking the point off the nose? Anyone ever reshaped the nose on one of these before?

I basically learnt how to windsurf on one of them ... pretty sure I also destroyed one when I was 5 years old by using it as a kayak and cracking the glass all along both rails as I wasn't big enough to get the paddle to clear the sides!! ... haha.

They were SICK boards. I believe there is still one hanging up on the roof at Goodtime isn't there?

Was that when Cochrane was shaping WA boards or before?

It was their high wind model for 15 plus knots, I also had a light wind version which was about 13kgs

haha jon, some of the glassing guys back then liked a big fat finish coat of polyester with heaps of wax to get that wind action super nice gloss finish!

BTW jermie, that slalom pro 15 + was a cracker speed unit in it's day and if you pull the base to the back of the track.

then party on dude!

p.s. move the fin to the front of the box.
