How cool would it be to have a shot of yourself like that?! (Not that I ever jump that high except in my dreams)
Sweet! was kind of lonely out there but fun! needed extra effort to pull the wetsuit on as it was a bit nippy and few kilos heavier from a few months back.
5.3 blade and 99 nude. fairly onshore so had the big board to get out.
Barn, yep the red line!
Yep, or newport. Just 15mins away from my joint.
Hey Rob, did you head round to Makaha?
We both sailed there exactly 8 weeks ago and it was my last session on the water.
Cheers
that's great
we've had thunder and lightening here for the last 4 arvos. i've never before seen goldcoast storms in late autumn / winter. Already we've had a couple of nice westerlies - straaaaange
Thanks Troppo,
I got a slightly higher res pic from John Grainger the photographer.
I think he must have on-sold it to newltd as I have to buy the high res pic from them which is hard copy only.
I went to the shed this morning to check my Nude board was still ok, still going strong thankfully as it was a pretty hard landing from that height and the size of the board.
Barn you may have re-plot you trajectories
Awesome shot of you Rob - you are my new wallpaper.
Great winter seascape too, make me want to put on a jumper!
Not sure Dan, guessing at Dee Why end near the ocean pool somewhere.
I am actually sailing at the longreef end and the jump is at the bombie.
I haven't spoken to the photographer yet.
P.S. Ta Peto and AJE.
Funny, it seems way too far away for the cameraman to be at the pool, also too high. It's as if he was in a boat offshorish, but doesn't make sense either with that kind of weather.
He would have to be at the viewing platform at the end of the boardwalk.
Nice shot
onya Rob sweet jump
