A GoPro video of Green Island. The other day a few friends and I went over by tourist boat and had a great sail there. We also sailed over to Arlington Reef (not in video) which involved a 12 kilometre open water run and we were at one stage over 15 kilometres away from Green Island. I'm using my new Carbon Art SL58 and new Loft 6.8 Switchblade, I'm very happy with both. The wind on the day was about 18 knots and less, it can and does blow a lot stronger, anyway a great day in paradise !

Nice one Firie. Wind and sunshine must be like winning the lotto up your way lately.

Very impressed with your colour coordination - board, sail, boom, harness lines...
You've got style!

Wish I'd had a board when I was over there. I shall have to go again!

Those coral lumps give me gut shrink everytime you sail over one though, I get that damaged fin or catapult feeling...

Nice one Firie, felt like I was on hollies rather than just taking my lunchbreak from a dragging day...

Thanks guys
Ian the wet is behind us now, except for no wind again the weather is glorious at the moment, blue sunny skies like Perth
Hogan I've never heard of Arlington Beach sorry, Arlington Reef is as the crow flies about 8 kilometres from Green Island which is about 27 from the coast
Anita I might be getting carried away with the red but dam that board sure looks the goods on the water, love it After whacking the reef in the past I'm a little over cautious now, on this day there was no low tide flat water speed runs so just fun with mates

Great looking board. Its good to see another sailor in the Go pros as they add another dimension. Boy he shot past you at the start but you got your own back!

Master Dog, the helmet is an Ebay special, a bit lose which has caused a bit of wobble, I'll have to pad it out. The Carbon Art is an SL58 and is 95L and I'm about 87Kg atm

Hogan no problem, I should have worked out what you meant, anyway it'd be about 40Km

Thanks Mike, that's a surprise

Zac there used to be a surf shop up here (true) who used to organise reef surf trips when the tide was right but they folded, I'm fairly sure it was Arlington they went to.

Nice vid there, and a great sound track too, such an appropriate song for a sailing vid
