Hi,
I made some video clips (3) about windsurfing at the Maggies (Îles-de-la-Madeleine, qc Canada) in 2011 with the best shots I could get from many people.

We sail there since many year but we do still discover new spots. In 2001, we sailed new spots and discover that we were not sailing at the good spot in the past! HAHA! Have to be at the right spot at the right time.

We were there often on the good time but we did'nt always have somebody to film. What so ever, those clips will give you a little idea of what it was!

For the film, at first it was suppose to be just one clip, but because it's HD and heavy stuff, I decide to do 3 short clips more then just one .

Hope you will enjoy it, even if it's not PRO riders and not pro making edition...

To know more about it, you could check [www.windskate.ca] or my blog [gtj.malavent.com]

Cheers!

Hi Guy,

Looks cold compared to WA! What season are you sailing in there, and how cold is the water?

Cheers, Jens

Hi Jens,

It's not realy warm! It is still canadian! haha! But, not to cold. My friend Julien Livernois who live there is still riding (end of season).

april-june start the season ... wind 50% time, rain, cold east wind

july-august is the warm season, 18-28 degres average with wind 50-60% of the time

Septembre-october, 10-25 degres with wind 65-80% of the time...

You could see better stats on wind alert web site...

In the first film, some shots have been take in august-septembre time.

If the wind is from south then, it's warmer!

As soon as my film 2 and 3 will be done, I will put it here so you will have a better idea of the spot!

In 2002 (not sure if it was 2001) , the PWA tour went there! Some guys from Australia were there with us! They were kitters but they were drinking the same beer! Haha! Good budy! One of them met a girl there and he is now living with her! Ritchi!

Ho yeah!

Hi Jens, If it was always like in the clip it will be awsome but it's not always like that!

In part 2 and 3, you will have a better view of the spot.

It's a pretty nice place for those who are fare from AUSTRALIA! :)

I discover your forrum this week and I realy like it! I did put your logo on my website!

Ho yeah!

In Montreal yesterday, it was perhaps the last windsurfing session of the year! Snow is here now!
