67kg.
low end would be 6.6 and 104L.
High end 5.5 and 78L freewave.

I have always thought it is my weight that makes it very hard to hold down a 104L board in chop. Fine in flat water with 5.5 and 104L but as soon as it is solid 15-20 knots the 78L is so much more fun.

Sounds familar..no wonder my 125 is a handful..need a 105 /110..

For your weight Sue, I suspect that 125L would be a bit big and floaty, unless you go out a lot in very marginal conditions. Even the 95L would be getting a bit big for your weight on the top end of 20 knots in choppy water where it becomes harder to hold down a floaty board if you're a lightweight. I'm around 75kg and can comfortably use an 85L freeride & 5.9 in 15-20 knots.

85 Kg

93Lt Quad + 5.7m

Consistently close to 20knots and cross shore wind will get me on a 5.3m.

For the east cost I have stopped bothering to own any gear smaller than this.

at 74kg, If looks like it will stay over 15knots 5.6 and 100L freestyle.

if there is wave to ride 84 and 5.6, or 5.0 depending if it offshore on onshore.

if its 10 to 20 with half the time under 15, I will hope on my formula, or my new to me slalom board with a 11 or 9, but the average has to about 15knots otherwise that setup is beyond me.

I am surprised how accurate is everybody with wind speed measurements.
I could only relay on SB graphs and according to this: 80kg;
when I don't expect more then 25ktn in gust I will stay with my RAM 8.0m2 and 130L Fanatic X-ray 44cm fin when below 20 ktn,
and switch to 110L Naish Supercross, 32 cm when 20 to 25 with same sail.
Above 25ktn I reach for my 5.7 m and JP92 or Naish 84L .

Possibly I need to use anemometer more often as this numbers seems to be extreme in comparison to all above even if I prefer always sail is slightly overpower conditions.

Depends on the wind, a dry easterly at 30 knots is the same as a cold 20 south westerly

I have a buoy on my lake with wind data logging which I always check after a session.

Here's a pic of my setup in the upper limit of conditions. I think it was gusting to mid-20s that day.

Yeah I think a cold wind is more powerful than a hot wind as the air molecules are denser at lower temperatures, so the air has more mass per volume.

This year I bought a cheapo anometer. I found two interesting facts about the wind. Firstly it varies much more than one would expect. Secondly 20 knots is a lot windier than what I thought it was previously.

As a proof of concept here is SB graph today. All above 25Knt so I did sail 4 hours from 11 AM 5.7m2 and 92L. Can not ask for better conditions
