Hi,

Can anyone give me some advice on what to do with this boom? It came off second best in a beach catapulting incident which ended in me flattening the boom up against the sail while lying on the sand. A piece of the mast cuff was snapped off, and the securing arm got stretched. It's an almost new Prolimit boom, and I'm hoping that I won't have to write it off and get a new one. See pics below.

I have the same boom. The clamp broke. I had a spare Aeron boom head. It works a treat and is better than the Prolimit one.

They are a generic tube size so most heads of that wrap around style will fit... pryde, hpl etc. Most good shops keep spares and should be able to help you out without much if any outlay or put the word out in your area as slalom guys change boom heads often to something better and will have the old heads lying around.

Yep, same happened to me, (ran into sandbank) only the crappy original fitting crushed my mast as well.
Replaced it with original P## L###t cuff and lever and broke again
I ended up fitting a second hand Pryde head better plastic (i hope) but still going strong.

Prolimit improved the design this year, though the bolts are still worth replacing... i'm sure they have chocolate on the inside
