Cant say i have seen brown arrows before. They must represent the colour of you pants after trying to sail in those conditons
Ahh, brown arrows? They are there to tell Macroscien to rig down from his 7m to a 6m, just so that he can sail comfortably in 35 knots.
I wish NSW gets to see brown arrows, but I know it will only happen when its not a good time to sail, e.g. hail, tornadoes, and flying tuna.
Maybe for NSW you can have a colour between red and yellow, just to show a normal day?
Always liked Albany and thought about moving there. Wondered about how good the conditions would be for GPS sailing though. Regular brown arrows might tip the scales in favour.
Actually, the brown and red arrows should be swapped over.
Brown arrows for crappy sailing conditions. Red arrows for danger.
There is nothing dangereous about light winds for anything,.. unless you're stuck a mile off shore when they drop off. I spose that could be a red arrow situation. But it could equally be a brown arrow situation.
I say,.. reverse red and brown.
The new format is SO SO, im finding the arrows to be to fat and somewhat less accurate to look at .But the scale change is good and the brown arrows over 35 knots is a good introduction/ With out overdoing it. BUT,there may be scope for a forth colour for say glass offs / light and variable .
I also find the gaps between arrows on the days real time wind display to be very open making it look less accurate and linked , Nothing better than seeing solid green and a refined accurate graph, illestrating variations in wind strenght / direction from your days action on the water
Funny how when you really look on the original wind graphs, the arrows have variations in width of them. Does this mean any thing
Version 4 Laruie
Try making the arrows twice as tight as the original and linked like a snake /dragon tail.
Im sure ill cope either way
Whoever uses seabreeze.com.au to check the wind is a twit.
Just take the look at a weather chart and you should get an idea as to what the wind will do.
go straight to the source (bom.gov.au) and save yourselves and laurie the pain of incorrect forecasting.
the main reason for seabreeze.com is so we can all get on here, under unknown alias's and give our useless 2 cents worth of dribble.
i'm done, have a good day
or RED at top and BLUE at bottom
I did draw also few WHITE arrows for white water condition at the very top but not well visible
^^^ lol could be!
so he has 2 accounts ??? croook what a crook kic him off lauire you kick his arse boy give him a good whipping for me
question for laurie..
Why are the two last days in bold?
What do the arrows in lighter grey colour represent?
We got brown arrows here in Vic too!
Appropriate for the water colour at Poohkipa (Elwood) last week i am told.
Bit of brown wind out there right now...
emergency crews are in action all over the place.
power poles down etc
