has anyone anyone! tried using a x7 mast on a rs racing sail by np? ok i've broken 2 masts quickly and can't afford to buy another one just for this one especially the x9..last week for the first time i tried it and sail looked a bit full maybe a bit more downhaul but the 3/4ths logo was a bit loose alreadyany suggestions maybe next i'll stick with the v8's

RS sails are not necessarily such a good choice if you are living on an island, far from windsurfing shops...

you're damn right katapult you got me goin to the mast and take a close look at it and by graces it is a a x6 i thought it was still the x7 from last year..well goes to show i don't read numbers but this one was rigged and i guess i was just a bit carefull in downhauling the downhaul rope was twinging like a guitar string but yep wet willy's right shouldn't have bothered to even think of an rs sail when i can't even sell it 2nd hand..

Why would anyone buy a sail that even the manufacturers call RS?

Probably the same people who buy a Toyota TRD. Just add U.

I meant because you will need repairs and/or new masts. My friend who is an RS freak has broken 2 (or is it 3?) X9 masts while rigging, and the top of the sail has ripped out at least twice that I know of.

It goes fast when it's working, though.
