(Someone correct me if I'm wrong) - Is it Plug & Play 2, where Marcilio Browne says something like he's been sailing for 10 years, freestyle for 3???

If ya ain't there yet (self included) ya probably never will be

Plus we is too old
...but I suppose there is hope with sportsmen like Occhilupo and Aggasi.

It's all relative though, I got as big a blast on my first session as I have on my latest.
I think.

How long to get to that level? Depends on how long it takes for the testicular enhancement medication to work.

jeez... effffff me, you guys already know it, but any ego trippin kiter who says kiting is more spectacular than windsurfing.... i mean kiting is amazingly addictive and sooo much fun, but, respect where its due.... those two clips were insane... esp' the first one.....

The only thing spectacular about those vids is the huge waves !

That footage is actually pretty old.

I don't think anyone Windsurfs jaws anymore. Its been taken over by the jetski tow in crew.

Most of the crew that used to sail there, like Robby,Pete Cabrinha,Alex etc. are into kiting now. They find it much more exciting. As does everyone else.

I think you'll find that robby sails more than kited nowadays, as does alex aguera, both stil ripping hookipa. Pete cabrinha I think is to busy dyeing his hair to get any sailing done nowadays.
Ps of course they still sail jaws ya idiot!
Sure did look exciting on tv last night, its funny cuz no matter how many times you see a kiter dragged up a beach or thru a car park it still remains as funny as the first time, maybe it will stick around for a while cuz that gear will never get old.

Na they just started kiting to cash in cz they new there were heaps of people that can't surf or windsurf that needed an easy to learn sport, they called it (can't surf) but then they thought the **** that take it up aren't total morons however they now realise they could have used that name. Then they made a few leg dangle moves up on some monkey bars at the local school when they were drunk. Also they pulled some board shorts over there wetty's for a laugh and realised all the easily influenced MTV watching can't surfs "kiters" would copy that stupid trend. They are all living happily ever after in their mansions now.

The end.

Wow,some of you windwankers have REAL problems with kites, don't you !

Bwa hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

Like, kiters are ever going to be impressed or upset by any windsurfers!

On the other hand, you poledancers seem to take an awfull lot of notice as to what kiters are doing !

Don't fret! I understand. I used to say the same things untill I got sick of standing on the beach, not enough wind to get planing on my state of the art, custom wave gear, watching the kiters cut loose. Boosting BIG airs,360,backrolls etc.

Then I gave in and tried it.
Woo Farken Hoo !!!!

Now I get a HUGE rush when I boost 30 ft off a wave and look down on the windsurfers (not that many anymore, the numbers have dropped and there is hardly ever enough wind for them) and they are just cruising along, never getting any air !

Oh well,I am not going to knock them. I don't have any problems with them, and I like to be out with my old windsurfing mates.

Oh,and don't respond with any videos trying to prove that windsurfers go off, that were shot like,10 years ago of Polokow ripping it up at Hookipa !

What good is a sport that you have to be a pro and only have one or two good spots, like Maui, that you can really do it ????

Sorry if I upset anyone, but thats the way it is,and you know it !

(snip: more crap)

Considering the second video says it was filmed in the winter of 07, this and the rest of your dribbling has the credibility of a Bondi Beach kitesailer.

Then stop posting your stupid attempts at baiting. The same old recycled garbage gets old after its first run so think up something witty and intelligent before you post here again. See you in six years.

Stop making excuses for your lame attempts at starting flame fests. No one was putting sailkiting down until you turned up and posted you usual rhetoric. You do more to get kitersailers off side with others than kitersailers at Bondi. Get over it and make the world a better place.

I just wonder why a dedicated Kiter is on the windsurfing forum? I never look at the kite forums because I dont kite, Ive got nothing against them, as long as they keep the strings out of the way. Im sorry user but I think you are winding up the windsurfers just by being there. I suppose its a territorial issue. I guess when your in a dedicated forum one would expect to find people with similar views and values, thats what brings us in in the first place.

Maybe Laurie needs a "flame" forum where we can all just rip into each other.

Maybe user is a wana be windsurfer.......

jp......yes,Jaws was kiteboarded a few years ago. By a Chris Calthorpe? a pro kiteboarder/windsurfer.

It was pretty lame I must admit. He basically went in a straight line, with the jet ski backup actually riding the same wave INSIDE him!

To Mobydisc.......I think you are wrong.....every second post here knocks kiters !
I can't believe the fascination with them.

To arancini...... I am actually a windsurfer as well. although an "ex windsurfer" would be a better description.I stopped when I took up kiting, but kept some gear in case I want to try it again, but I can't see that happening. Maybe in the Winter, gusty winds?

I wavesailed for many years. Even had some sponsorship.

The truth is I could rip on a sailboard ten times better than most of these halfwits that abuse me here with their purile and chidish insults!

You sound like you have an extreme case of 'short syndrome'
are you verticaly challenged. Do you need to rubbish all of those around you to justify your own existense?
You must feel terrible about yourself to keep this crap up, You should seek proffessional help.

Hey User

You just spoilt my image of kite surfers. I got on well with all the ones I have met. Friendly bunch of people on strings. Serious anger management issue I think.
Go sit in the corner for an hour and do not spoil it for your mates

user i'm not sure how long ago you stopped windsurfing.

i reckon about 1999...... cause from 2000 onwards we had this amazing design revolution some have coined stubby.

basically things got wider which means they plane earlier.

now, you come to qld and i'll bet you a cartoon of your favourite beer that i can plane earlier than you on your kite board.

mater of fact i bet i can plane in 5 knots. you keen for the challenge?

Unfortunately, boards did get wider and wider, whereas kiteboards were getting smaller and smaller....much more fun in the surf.
