Tuesday: N/NW winds 30/40 knots with squalls to 55 knots in showers and
thunderstorms. Winds easing to W'ly 20/30 knots by late morning and W'ly 18/23
knots by late afternoon. Higher than normal tides and dangerous surf conditions
expected.

i was down Applecross at 7am,wind 12/22,saw one person already sailing.
non-stop rain,too cold to rig up so drove him.
still pissed off with missing last friday when it was very windy,warm and no rain.
I got down to woodies before 7 and was going to rig up... but there were some rather chunky bolts of lightning hammering down not so far away. Might have made it in time for a few runs maybe high 30s (it was gusting to about 25-26kts). Then it started pissing down and it all died. Was cool to see an amazing sunrise with no cloud for a big slit along the horizon, with armageddon on the other side... wish I had a camera but I dont take anything like that to woodies.
