Of course you don't need one.......

But it's much cooler if there is one

That and being able to sail in board shorts

Yeah i agree, The two camera angles are heaps better than panoramic sweeps of crystal blue Indian Ocean

sweet vid!!
But why do they cut the vid before they finish their gybe? i love seeing a full carve gybe being laid down and then planning out.

You can't see the gybes because he was THAT CLOSE when the helicopter was chasing them in and had to turn around somehow (ref about 3/4 they way into the vid)

Very skilled flying and camera work

If referring to my little video you're on the money, I was so excited to have the chopper chase me which was not pre arranged, I blew it and went A up Must be why Col lost interest in me as that's all the video I could scab off him

nah mate, was talking about the original vid.
Dont blame you though, if i was being followed by a chopper id probably try to pull some sort of manouever wasy beyond my ability and end up looking like a douche

By the way im not criticising the vid, sailors or filmographer, just a comment that i reckon that in this vid, and most others, they tend to cut a lot of the gybing. And as an aspiring amatuer slalom racer i like watching the gybes, you know as training
