Hi All -- Hope you Ozzy boys are enjoying your summer - hope you get loads of wind -- Its been the coldest December for 100 years here !! snowing heavy now -minus 11 windchill yesterday - and no south or west winds for sailing anyway . so not looking good for us- Air ports closed so cannot get a late cheap excape to the sun. -- Be sad if 'Ashes comp' finish this way but we will have em back next year we will have to book a december trip to hot windy place .
Happy Christmas to you all Peter Cutts
We hope you guys can wangle a trip some place as well Pete, hate to see it fizzle out like it is at the moment.
Same to all you guys over there, have a Merry Christmas, and a great New Year.

JUST LIKE TO WISH THE AUSTRALIAN & GREAT BRITAIN ASHES TEAMS A MERRY CHRISTMAS & SAFE & WINDY NEW-YEAR ! FROM THE ASHES CREW!!!!
Yesssss.....
The big white-out in England would probably even shut up Kevin Pietersen, Prior &/or Anderson
One is almost inclined to call it a draw...almost.
But a win is a win - even though it is a bit like kissing your sister (or so I'm told - thanks Tony).
I hear the governing bodies are meeting for something bigger, better & fairer for next year
Well done all, & have a happy Christmas
To all the UK crew
May you, your families, friends and beer all be warm over Christmas.
Enjoy and best wishes.
Have a good one
Last chance saloon for monday to get any times in!
But to be honest we aint got no chance directions wrong and to cold for distance, but i'm not moaning not allowed to go out till febuary when my ankle is fixed, in a way wish it was march.
Anyway congrats on your upcoming result and hope your xmas has been a warm one and happy new year from The Portland Pirates............
Thanks Swagger. Had a great Xmas here & don't envy your cold.

The 'Ashes Series' was just meant to be a bit of fun, but you guys came on board
& made it interesting, competitive, funny, sledgy & a whole sh1t-load of fun.
Got something good for next year
cheers
Peter
Hang on - West Kirby frozen over????? Ice speed sailing produces some pretty high speeds. I gather the rules don't explicitly exclude them from sailing here - could the Kirby Crew be planning something prior to the new year?
Merry xmas to all freezing their butts in the motherland too.
Sorry Boys,
But looks like you can keep the teak boom!
But the real ashes are staying in the UK.
Laters......
GREAT BRITAIN HAS NOT MUCH TIME LEFT TO SCORE!!!
THE UMPIRE WISHES EVERYBODY ( & FAMILIES) WHO SAILED IN THE ASHES SERIES A SAFE WINDY NEW YEAR!
Thanks for the compitition shame we couldn't realistically do anything for December, Too cold or no wind.
Windy new year to all,
till the next time,
Swagger.
Yup ... and a big thanks to Peter (Wineman) for scoring, umpiring, commentating, and running the comp.
A crate of Screaming Eagle Cab 1992 on its way to you bud. (sorry could n't afford the Chateau Lafite 1787)
