Well what can I say as I'm priveleged enough to be Captain of this great Team. The old saying a Champion Team will always beat a Team of Champions rings true this year anyway? We worked hard all year, and when we got a sniff of third we worked even harder, and when we got a sniff of second we rasied the bar again to new levels, who says we're not competitive Congratulations Guyz, Big Party at Hardies House to Celebrate!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Middle to late January, hopefully most can make it

Thanx Pierre very gracious of you, as we probably stole 2nd off you with great winds here in Nov and Dec, but we still had to perform as a team, and work very hard, as Hardies Run has lost all its seagrass, so it was still a massive team effort by us all, we will Celebrate

Hardie makes a great point, 10 weeks ago we were fighting really hard to achieve a podium place, a feat I thought we would probably not pull off. I truly wish all teams better conditions next year

Some words of wisdom

Be humble in victory and acknowledge your competitors and peers, victory is easy, it is how you handle defeat that defines who you are.........

Being gracious in defeat means handling these losses well, acknowledging the victors, and maintaining your dignity in defeat.

Remember, How you handle defeat says everything about who you are.

More still, how you handle your loss will be remembered, more than how you handled your wins.

You may use the pain that comes with loss to motivate you in the future, but be wise not to use your pain to inflict pain

definitely true!!! well done guys all that perseverance has paid off

i was constantly amazed at the dedication of the team in general..
to get out and 'go the distance' so to speak in a year that really was
less than average for wind.

well done!!

are your ready to do it all again?

Well done to Hardie, Elmo, Decrep, Bender, Crasher, Evets, Craw, Adam, Pepe, Sammy and all he others who contributed to the superb MM effort - clearly the best in WA this year - great effort.
Will make SRM all the more hungry for 2011.
We were a bit dishevelled and clearly outclassed in 2010!
We need to sail more like a team in 2011 boys!!

edit - Just read the whole string - pls be gentle with your wise words Hards -
Nic had his tounge in his cheek I'm sure

I was thinking of that advert for one of the last Olympics, when they showed the weightlifter who won the Silver Medal just going ballistic with Joy!! (with the voice over saying "Who says coming second doesnt matter" Coz thats how the Mandurah Mob feel about coming second in this elite company!!!!!!!!!!! Ballistic with Joy
