That is fn dangerous, what people will do for records, takes a lot of courage to sail that fast with such a small margin for error!!!! (And maybe a brief suspension of one's sanity[}:)] )
This photo answers one question: Can AA calim a WGPSSRC record? Does not look like it. Only one GPS (stuffed up his jumper).

Anders' session is up www.gps-speedsurfing.com/default.aspx?mnu=user&val=110812&uid=3693
Max. 2 sec. (software)51.05 knots
AA did 386m at 50.046 Knots (+/- 0.317)
Looks like with a bit more length on the canal, 50kts for 500m was entirely possible.
Could be that a bit more wind will knock it off if accelleration to top speed is faster at the start of the run.
Lighter wind on day 4, but still going very quick.

Anders on a pryde? In the last pic.
interesting shot of Anders on a Pryde. Maybe his custom Asy Challenger sails weren't big enough for a light wind day. Although the Pryde doesn't look any bigger.
There's a brilliant vid that's been posted on the FB page but I can't seem to embed. AA appears to have great board trim and control.

Bjorn posted on facebook :" all my gear is packed, just waiting for my wife to deliver n°4 anytime, and I'll go and get a world record for her as a present"
No changing nappies for Bjorn it seems !!
