I've sold all my race/speed kit and returned to my preffered windsurfing discipline of wavesailing/freestlye so I thought about what I could use my GPS for. Lets just say it is excellent for mountainbiking as this track shows. 58kmph max speed and 30kms ride...

Could use it for athletics. Or motorbikes when you don't have a speedo thing.

P.S: I'm looking to buy a GPS and if your willing to sell your since your done windsurfing with it, might work out ok. However keep it for these other uses if you want ovcourse. PM me if your interested, because a new GT-11 seems prity expensive.

Would like to help you out Bubs, but I'm actually finding the GPS more useful/fun for MTBing!

As mentioned in another post, we use our GPS for in-car navigation too.

Plus I have used it to scout out the route of a new pipeline being laid in our area. I got the coordinates from the conrtactor, then plugged them into the GPS and let it walk me in to the site.

Thats a decent old ride Ben. I used to ride around the dam years ago starting Sth Curly. Be interesting to see the changes now.
So youve given up on the speed buzz hey??
Too much gear or just back into the waves??
Larko.

I've stopped due to a few things, but main one is that my passions are wave sailing, freestyle and general "free-riding". I was finding the big kit - although awesome as i could get planning in 10 knots - too cumbersome when all i wanted to do was loop, 360, spock...

So I sold everything with my biggest board now a 99ltr waveboard and biggest sail of 6.1! I am however on the look out for a 110-120ltr freestyle board and nocam freemove sail of 7m.

Basically what I had before selling it for race stuff

Oh, and Larko the Dam is excellent - very well maintained and quite technical.
