Could some one help me sort out a problem uploading to gp3s.com please? I useless at these things.

Basically, after downloading from my SD card to gpsactionreply and clicking send to gp3s.com server, I get this message:

This only started happening yesterday. I took the gps out again to make a mock session and tried to upload it, same problem.

Strange thing is, I can still upload previous session without any problem??

Does this sound like my GT31 has died and is not recording to the SD card properly (hence why I can upload old session)?

Many thanks:)

If GPSar is processing your file OK then there's nothing wrong with the GPS.
Most of that reply is in HTML and you're viewing it in plain text, it doesn't give me any clue as to why it failed.
Are you a member of the GTC? If you are try posting there, then you can try sending it on to gp3s.

You could also try a direct post to gp3s, if you go to their site, once you sign in there's an upload your file button, that removes gpsar from the equation.

I've just had a go at manually loading or uploading a file to gp3s, and every time my browser crashes, maybe something wrong at their end.

Hi, I normally post to to GTC through gp3s. I think Dylan has done a few site updates and wondered if this has some bearing on things or maybe my file was simply damaged or something!!

I tried to upload yesterdays session again today and it still failed. Today I took the GT31 out for a short walk to make a mock file to attempt to upload too gp3s.com and I was able to upload it no problem.

Its just yesterday's session that I can't upload???

It would be good to find out what went wrong because this could happen again on a PB day:)

I understand now why the top guy's have two gps's

Cheers

Dylan runs ka72, he doesn't have anything to do with gp3s, do you mean ka72?

So did, gpsar process the file ok? In other words did it give you all 6 divisions?
If it did, try posting direct to the gtc.
If that doesn't work, PM me with your email address, and I'll reply, so you can send me the offending file, I'll see if I can figure out what's happened.

Hi Decrepit

Sorry, I meant Dylan De jong @ gp3s.com.

Yes, gpsar did process the file fine. The problem was when I clicked "send to server". The above box message box appears.

I emailed the session (27th July) to a friend who uses gpsresults, he was able to upload it to gp3s.com without any problem.

I made five mock sessions in the garden yesterday, gpsar processed them all ok. I only able to upload three out the five. This is no good, imagine if it happens on a PB day:(

I now think that maybe gpsar is possibly the culprit, or possibly a slightly faulty SD card (but my mate was able post my session and gpsar could process it so maybe not??) Or possibly a faulty GT31.

Iv'e ordered a new SD card to see if that fixes the problem. I might try out gpsresults as it might be more reliable than gpsar.

Many thanks:)

Well it's not that hard to load the file into gp3s without using gpsar, once gpsar has processed the file, you can manually enter the results directly into gp3s. Or you can upload the .sbn file from your sd card.

I don't think you have a problem with either the gps or the card, like you I suspect it's gpsar for whatever reason.

Had a result today. Dylan De jong said there is an issue with the gp3s site and gpsar since site upgrades/maintanence, he is going to fix it.

This morning I was able to upload my sessions via data logger as a quick fix.

Iv'e learn't a few things this last couple of day's, which is a good thing:)

And thanks for you impute, you were one of only a couple of people that offered to help out. Much appreciated:)
