I've been working on an automatic GPS file processor to make life easier for the technophobes amongst us, and I need a few files to use for test data. (I'm hoping to get it integrated with the gps team challenge site, to allow you to upload or email a file and get it processed automatically.)
If you have a smallish .SBN file downloaded from a Navilink GT-11 or GT-31 (I need SBN, not SBP) then you can load it into the hosting site at:
www.ka72.com/
If the file is valid, the site should tell you the device name, serial number, and trackpoint count.
I'm really after a good variety of files, preferably with some invalid points in them too, so please don't upload more than one file (unless you have more than one gps, that is!)
I've set the site to accept ten files initially.
Ta,
Dylan.
Dylan,Loaded two files for you, one from my GT-11 and another from team mate. Both loaded, but one came back with errors? No guru with this stuff, so you may need to take a look.
Tim, I found this happens when the unit has been turned off for a while, or after a firmware upgrade. Now I turn the Navi on so it finds satellites, then turn off and back on so its starts a new file, and then clear the data logger.
Thanks everyone, really quick job! I just checked and there are 9 files in. Some weird ones are good, as they stretch the system a bit and help work out the flaws.
Once it hits ten, no more will be able to be uploaded (I think!) When I get a bit further down the track, I'll post another update.
Dylan.
I just uploaded the 10th - runs from the pit last Friday. I have just spent a few hours this arvo setting up realspeed and trying to get my head around how it all works. The file I uploaded, other than the normal runs, has some weird lines heading off to Wilsons Prom - definitely not where I sailed?? Any feedback most appreciated.
