I'd like to say I jogged back and got it (that would be a real hardman !) but I always go with a couple of mates and we set the cars before we start (have one ready at the end for the drive back). Then we all meet up at a mates and sort all the gear back out into the proper cars and relax with a few coldies. Luckily he lives a few minutes from the beach. When he's not around we do it at the car park but not as much fun then.

i often wondered how those google earth gps patterns were made, then i found this

krazydad.com//bestiary/bestiary_spyrograph.html

unfortunately, the best i can come up with is a day where the wind turns 360 degrees

Thanks Snides, the weave part was earlier in the session when it was stronger and I was going for downwind runs.
Later on when it dropped I didn't bother unless a good gust appeared.

I think I had you in the back of my mind, it definately wasn't very user friendly out there, and I'm not much chop in the chop.

Yeah but those long runs are just sooo tempting when going for an hour, maybe we should do them in company in future.

There were a couple I think, but must be hidden in all that scrawl.
I remember having 2 goes at one, gust hit just as I was getting up.
