We got a good ENE wind direction on 29.1.12 tide was perfect as the sand bar just came out on a falling tide as the wind picked up to around 15kts this made the water very flat blowing straight off the sand bar it was on for the MOB with a few kites at 1st we had it all to our self but after a while the kites came out but I must say they were very polite giving us room to enjoy.
I got to try my new GoPro Hero2 & I am very happy with it as they cost a lot more than cheaper brands but well worth it as the quality is very good.
Anyway here's some video's I have put on youtube you be the judge.
sailing on 8.6 and 80 wide boards isnt speed sailing in my books but a fun day anyway.
nice vid Glynn
I suppose you could also take out a yacht and call it speed sailing.
Hey Chris you missed a good sesh
Great stuff. Its been 24 years since I sailed there back in the day of Scott Crawford sailboards with Greeny etc. had a blast going up and down the bank at Wello.
thanks for sharing Glynn!!
Mike, yes there was no wind when you were here when you passing by again I read 2013 maybe.
You could drive over next month & camp with us at Burrum could be good this year.
Vando, I didn't think that there was enough wind. I went fishing down near the speed bank from VP. I will have to tell you about all the sharks we were catching
