Looks like it. They remind me of very early shortboards where no one really knew what worked and what did not.

Ive seen these photos before. They are course racing kiteboards. Lots of fin area like a formula board to motor upwind.

Why are the boards so "cut off" at the end?

to help a little bit in edging and water release? they're really not meant to run flat on the water all the time..my opinion
