Track File or GTFO!

You've already given everyone the coordinates.

See Hards that's the difference between us Aussies and the crazy Euros. They will trudge through k's of soft sand and mud to get to their spots (The Brace) whereas we all want our spots within easy reach. Good on ya for thinking outside your comfort zone
Now, are there any shops on that Island or will it be byo grog?

Davenport creek area to the west of Ceduna looks the goods for a SW too.

Hey guys, are you serious? - before you spend a lot of time and money going there check out Parham at low tide - the flattest water near Adelaide (only 70km!) ... I think you know what I'm talking about...

Hi DaGodfather,

Have had a look at Parham but is very tidal and concerned with weed situation and rock situation.

Hi Carl,

That's exactly what I believe the new spot is like.

It looks like its very tidal - the entire sandbar is under water at high tide, but above water at low tide.
This sand bar is massive (1.8km wide in its widest spot) - so tides must travel that far - just like Parham . Tidal beach = warm water (thin layer of water floods over 1.8km of hot sand). Warm water = sea grasses.
So I believe what you'll find at low tide will be shallow super flat water bay full of sea grasses - fantastic speed spot for kitesurfing, but it may not be very good for windsurfing.

Thats why I'm suggesting to check out Parham first with a good weedy at low tide (but not too low - say 1m or so) and see if its rideable (btw - water at Parham is very flat at low tide even in 30knot winds - I've seen it!) before setting out for 1600km round trip to Ceduna and back to find similiar weeds there.
The small cluster of rocks at Parham is no problem as it's out of the water and visible on the beach in low tide and its location is well known.

There is also a speed channel - or rather boat channel - (visible in Google Earth) about 1.7km long 20m wide which is weed free with clean sandy bottom, but it would only be good for speed at a very low tide in one specific wind direction (SSW).

Sounds exciting. I might have to have another look.
