the peanut and the 18cm stainless weedy47deg have been designed and developed too cope with the illawarra weed and shallow water sailing, in this video the water is shallow and the weed is thick in spots , the wind is 15 to 20 knts "west" using a n/p 6.2 evo111

Great vid Keef, really gives a perspective on how to sail the place.
Hopefully get back down there for some wind before the westerlies stop.

Wouldn't mind giving one of your weedies a test run Keef. Looks like they punch through the weed well.

no worries stu I have a 17/19 delta 50 deg rake should be perfect for the isonic, i'm not sure if its the fin, the peanut has a very parallel profile , flat, and thick in the tail, too help get the tail out of the water early , but your welcome to give the fin a go

thanks to Gary warren 'Isaac' for taking these shots
this year has been a bit disappointing as far as illawarra westerlies go but I wouldn't totally write them off we can get some howling hot westerlies from now until December , we had a hoot a couple of years back on the 22 of dec
these arial shots in the previous video show where im sailing, the first section is in the clear water close to shore, and the second i'm punching through the weed , obviously the top speed guys aren't punching through the weed but have to sail through a section to get to the flat water
keep an eye out for the green arrows and get there early because the carpark fills up quick
