Looking good for some flat water off the point at Marmong as well. I heard that there is a sailing regatta being run from Speers Point SC in the afternoon so might be best to get out in the morning before the boat traffic picks up.

No 4WD needed
Drive past the turnoff to Birubi Point and keep heading towards Anna Bay/Boat Harbour

Turn right next to the bottle shop (across from the BP servo)
Follow the road around (it does and S bend then keep going)
You'll end up on the eastern side of the caravan park.
Keep driving till you see the water.
At the end of the road (it bends round to the left) there's a skate park, parking area and big grassed rigging err I mean picnic area
Rig here then walk down the beach access.
You'll need to do a couple of reaches out to work up wind
(Head out between the two big rocks)

TOO EASY

In case WindWarrior has confused anyone: he isn't describing the main carpark at the surfclub, which is the closest to the action, and has the great view. He's talking about another carpark that we sometimes go to because there's plenty of grass and it's out of the sandstorm, so it's much nicer for rigging. There's no view there. It's only 300m walk between the carparks but over 2kms drive between them.

0924 UPDATE

West Nor West 18 knots gusting up to 25
Clear blue skies, chill in the air and building anticipation

Will try and post a pic or two for those contemplating the drive

hey mate... I think that 100 liter board might be a bit big today :-) Should be about 200.000 knots by mid day up your way.
