The stars aligned on Saturday and I was able to make it down to Georges River Sailing Club to race my very neglected Formula Board.

What a great set up! Parking in the shade, rigging up on the lawn and a short walk to a beautiful sandy beach.

12- 15 knots came through and the race committee ran three (two Lap) races in almost perfect conditions. A short start line made it interesting for some. Overall Botany Bay provided an excellent opportunity to get out and do some racing and remind myself that you might need to do some training to be competitive in the exciting formula class.

Well done to Storm Riders for teaming up with a local sailing club and providing saturday afternoon club racing. In time, this format will be great for the class.

Very nice days sailing. I didn't realise this end of Botany Bay was the best spot in an Easterly. Same today. 20knot clean East wind at GRSC and St.George SC, and the rest of Botany Bay was almost nothing....

Another round of club racing today with the Lasers out on the Bay. Shifty SEsterly conditions which made for some interesting sailing. Congrates to Brett Morris with 2 bullets. A bit disappointing with regards the turn out, especially considering the forecast It's there for the taking fellas, good course racing with minimal fuss,...all you need to do is turn up?

Another surprisingly good days racing. I thought it would be too light in the afternoon, but the East wind built up to 15knots early and stayed all day.
Had some really enjoyable racing against Rick AUS-4, who has really stepped up this season.

Love just turing up and racing...Luxury...

PS: My 10yr old windsurfed from 11am to 4pm out the front of the club.
He is super keen to sail here every weekend...Any other parents with keen kids, please email me on brettaus8@gmail.com as i'm thinking about starting a youth program based at Georges River Sailing Club...
