To follow on from the end of the NSW Formula Tour, Marmong Point Sailing Club are holding their annual Autumn Regatta on Saturday 17th March.

To take advantage of the variable winds at this time of the year, the location will be decided on Thursday - either from the Wangi Caravan Park (SE to NE forecast) or from the club at Marmong (all other wind directions). So check back here on seabreeze on Thursday night.

To get the most of the one day of racing, if there is enough wind racing will start at 10:30am, ie registration 9-10am, briefing 10am. A great opportunity to come up to Lake Macquarie for a full day of racing and be back in your bed Saturday night!

ONE DAY
REGISTRATION 9:00 – 10:00 HRS
BRIEFING 10:00 HRS
RACING 10:30 HRS

Marmong Point is an easy drive under 2 hours from Sydney, and a BBQ will be held at the end of racing for all competitors and their families, as part of the $20 entry fee.

Results will count towards the overall 2011-2012 Four Seasons Series, which is still wide open for anyone to win one of the great prizes - refer to the event poster above.

All classses are welcome, so come along for some fun racing before packing your gear away for winter, or give racing a try for the first time if you're a newcomer.

See you Saturday!

James

Well done everyone for not talking up the forecast and scaring away the green arrows! After a bit of fluctuation it has settled down into a decent southerly for the day, which is a great direction for racing from the club at Marmong.

So here are the final confirmed details for the event:

- Location: Marmong Point Sailing Club - George St, Marmong Point
- Date: Saturday 17th March
- Registration: 10am-11am
- Briefing: 11am
- First Possible race: 11:30am

**IMPORTANT NOTE** We have pushed back the rego/start time as the southerly isn't expected until late morning. But please try to be rigged up and ready to race at 11:30am.

While we're not planning any formal racing on Sunday, there will probably be quite a few of us out sailing slalom if the forecast holds. So anyone who wants to come along Sunday during the day should get some fun sailing.

Look forward to seeing lots of people Saturday morning.

A great day of racing for 17 competitors today in an up and down southerly wind, which reached 20 knots at times.

6 races were run - thanks to Geoff and John for giving up sailing time to man the start boat. Congratulations to Jesper Vesterstrom for taking out the open fleet, and to Mick Saunders for just edging out Barry Fawkes in the Free Formula.

Thanks to all who attended, especially the guys who made the effort to come up from Sydney - we all appreciate your support.

Dont forget that Marmong Pt SC race every saturday from 1:30pm.

See you at Round 4 of the Four Seasons Series - the Midwinters in July.

Results were as follows:

How good was that BBQ and Mick's secret spicy sauce!
Oh and the racing was fantastic!
Rather over done in the sail department in the last 2 races!
Cheers Marmong Crew!!

I found an alternative thickener for that chilli sauce of yours Mick. Try this for the next batch! www.foodsubs.com/ThickenStarch.html
