A few of the pics from the weekend.
If you want high res images Pm me with your email address and which one is you!
Great photos Sue.
Well done to your partner for sitting there snapping away for the day.
It was indeed another windy weekend sail. Lots of people going fast and some extreme gusts keeping us all on our toes (or in the water as often happened).
Small gear was the way to go on the day. How fast was Nick O going on the baby speed board........!
Good work!
They are some great photos, even got me in the back
ground, i tried sending the vids but they are to big
so i have to shorten them & try again.
Managed to get in one there! Thanks for the photos.
Nice spot, was full on further out, my leech was flapping like mad
Nice to see you guy's getting some wind. Great pics.
More than what can be said in the west at the moment.
Just a quick observation tho...
Unless you are 5 foot nothing, your boom should not be anywhere near the bottom of the boom cutout area on the sail. Moving it up will get you planing quicker and apply more mast foot pressure. This in turn will keep the nose of the board down when flying over chop.
try it out next time.
Hey Sue.
Great day that was. I remember seeing your hubby/partner sitting on the shore with his camera. I pulled up to see if you were alright, but you were actually posing for a camera shot, sorry.
This is bill by the way with the goaty, 5.4 alpha blue sail and 2000 model F2 277 ride. Love that setup, good for 15 to 30 knots, while i'm still 1/2 fit anyway. See you on the water.
Where was you today? Saturday 1/9/12? Blowing around 10-15knots S/SW for most of the day, then, when all the GPS wanks went home for a cup of tea LOL, the southerley came up as they said 25-30knots dead south. Bloody brilliant it was. Nothin beats heading over to the other side of the lake, not knowing if the wind is going to die off and leave you stranded at toukley bridge or Wallarah Bay club? The water changes so many times on the way over. 1st leaving Canton in the flat water, hitting the chop past the last boy, then the rolling flat water behind the rolling waves, then bump and jump over to the boathouse.Bloody brilliant.
What sort of camera took these images? I'm thinking of buying a new camera, probably one of the super zooms, most likely a Panasonic FZ-150 or 200 if I can get one for a reasonable price. I'm also considering a Canon SX HS 40? Is that the same as your camera Sue?
