Tomorrow morning (early) could be the go for those thinking of making the trip to Birubi

Low tide could be an issue around 0900
Will try and get a look and picture of the swell and bank set up at Birubi this arvo and re-post.

Initial forecast had it going west south west by mid morning.
If it stays true to current predictions it will be off to cross off all day... just need to confirm swell direction, size and dwell period.
Could it be a case of the 2nd Day of winter delivering the goods for south facing setups ?

Arvo update

Calm before the storm ?

Nice little bank working in front of surf club, and another little bank just off the Bow reef.
Little being the optimum word, swell pretty small at present (1645hrs) waist to chest high at best.

Can't see tomorrows low tide (0924hrs) being too big a problem unless the swells spikes massively.

Magicseaweed is calling the peak at 6 to 9 foot around midnight Sunday

Hope this helps for anyone considering the drive

thanks for posting an update.

i was thinking a drive up earlier in the week when it was showing a more solid westerly over the weekend.
looking at it now i think it will swing south fairly quicky. turning wild on shore up there so opted for a southerly location instead.

hope you get something.

Unfortunately Birubi is a write off in a southerly... dead onshore
Still no sign of any wind here at present

It was just strong enough to catch a couple waves up here yesterday on 106 triwave 1st session . Cant wait to have a real whack at it as it feels good on wave and not big n boofy. It is only 229cm so a very manageable forgiving board.
Right now the wind here is slightly west of north and not what is predicted very yellow not green. Feels on the verge of change though. This has been a very unpredictable weather pattern as SB models have changed at least every 12 hrs to different preds. Good luck with the westerly pred Kev, i hope it blows for you. We should be down at trial bay rigged and waiting but the actual scene truth is supine.
