We are a group of friends who for the last few years have been going away for windsurfing weekends about once a month during Sept to April each year. We go to places around NSW, like Winda Woppa, Smith's Lake, Lake Macquarie and Gerroa. we take turns to organise it. The organiser rents a holiday house or 2, and does most of the shopping. We take turns at making meals (nothing fancy), and Saturday night is a BBQ. We get there on Friday night, sail Sat and Sunday, and drive back Sunday night, or Monday morning.

We share the cost, and no-one makes a profit, so it works out at about $100 to $150 each, including renting the house, and buying the food and grog. The wonderful advice on improving your windsurfing is free (whether you want it or not).

There were about a dozen regulars, but people have dropped out, through other commitmens, or people going overseas. We are now looking for new people. We are not a club, just a group of friends,

It is a very mixed group, from all occupations, all ages, and all windsurfing abilities. Some are single, some married, and some in between. The only requirements are love of windsurfing, and having fun.

If you are interested, please reply and tell me something about yourself.

Hey Tim...about time you got on the forum.

I went on one of their weekend jaunts in Nov up to Winda Woppa, & even my non-windsurfing wife had a ball.

Great company, great sailing, great accomodation, great value

Sailing conditions..

Love the idea of going away for long windsurfing weekends with like minded people. You cant beat the relaxed atmosphere of a BBQ and beer after some soul sailing.

Hi Tim, Sounds like good fun. Would like to join you for one of these weekenders one day, Would anyone have any objections to our little boy coming along? He's only 17months and no trouble.

The "NSW Windsurfing Series" travels all over NSW for weekends, Very social and lots of fellow windsurfers with partners and family. Maybe you could coordinate a few of the dates and hang out?
It is always great to see as many windsurfers enjoying themselves as possible.
Hawks Nest is a personal favorite, and we will be there,
31jan-01Feb09 and 21-22Mar09.

All the best...

Hi Tim, I'm new to the sport (been sailing for 6 months or so) and looking for all the advice I can get! Your windsurfing weekends sound brilliant, and I'm keen to get involved.

Southside sailboards http://www.southsidesailboards.com/
Or windsurf n snow windsurfnsnow.com.au/
I have used them both, both great and very helpful. I actually got my first board through Adrian at southside sailboards.

Hey Timbos,
If you guys ever get up to mid north coast let us know, theres a few of us that would thrive on some interactive windsurfing, so if you plan any trips to yamba, coffs or south west rocks or even forster just drop us a line or put a thread up on the NSW forum about where you are going.
I'm not into the bunking in together but would be great to catch others on the water.
