Orange/Blue and transparent 6.4 Arrows burner, complete with Radz 430cm Mast and pro limit 160-220boom. Lost somewhere on botany bay, Had to be abandoned after a mad southerly change as Jet ski was unable to rescue the rig as well. Any info as to the whereabout pls call matt on 0416418759.....Thanks

Goodluck getting your rig back. yeah I didn't see that southerly coming up at Pittwater. Fortunately for me I had packed up as the wind had died off.

Incredible weather today in Sydney.

Bummer - I hope you get your rig back!
We where at Kurnell, I assume you aswell, but had some advance warning from the Kite Demo day Organisers, who where running up the beach warning folkes of the 40knt change that was imminent.
Lots of kiters and Windsurfers needing rescue - great to see heaps of concern and help from the opposing but freindly water/wind sport loving sides.
Great day outhere today, but bugger me, glad I wasn't on the water when it went from 23knt cross onshore to 40knts offshore!
Glad you made it back in one peice albiet short a rig.

Great to hear you made it back, a lot of people worried as Dave said. It took everything I had in me to get back to shore during that wind change, I saw where you were and man I was feeling for you. Great day till that point.
Good luck with your rig!

Great Pic's Tim - got anymore you can post in the Photos Section?

Mattkem - Try contacting the KitePower guys that where running the kite demo day and rescue - sounds like they may have retrieved some gear. See this thread.

HI Matt,

Just got a call from Wayne Bowness who was handed your kit by some kitesurfers yesterday.

Give me a shout at the shop and I'll put you in touch with him.

Speak to you soon.

Sam.

That southerly was pretty epic fail down here in the gong. Saw it hit, packed the gear, drove to the beach, rigged. Planed out....almost swam back due to lack of wind :(

I Like this shot of your gybe - nice wake trail shows your gybe arc.

Who's that standing in the shallows on the left hand side - we'll at least he's not crashing!

Crazy wind shift. I was sailing at Rose bay one minute, and standing on Shark island 1 minute later.... Luck for me is is easy to sail directly up-wind in 45knots, other wise i was looking at catching a ferry home..... Keeps things interesting huh....
