SIMMER BOARD 2012
locally (brissy & goldcoast) i've noticed in the last 2 years that newer north wave sails have become a rarity among local sailors, where naish wave sails seem to be becoming quite popular again
is there still a local distributer for the north sails?
Simon at boardcrazy is still a distributor. I personally have purchased the force due to $ and my very imited wave sailing ability, so not needing to go to the extremes for particular performance.
Today is the day the Severne 2012 wave sails should be being released.
I have been very fortunate to have been using the 2012 XS-1 for the last 4 months. It is truly awesome,as the preveous model was, just lighter again(if that was possible) and with more of a feeling that it sails itself .
I am 9 years old and about to hit 30kg
If you have a child between 6 and 14 that has the basics mastered(uphaul and rigsteer)and are ready to progress the Severne XS-1 is the ONLY true performance kids rigs.
I have tried nearly every brand of "kids rigs" and the Severne is the only 1 that can be truly called kids rig. The others just look like kids sized rigs, but the weight of an adult rig(using battens and fittings scavenged from the adult bin) or they are just plain mockups, look like a sail but don't have a propper masts.
If you want your child to master this sport, the XS-1 is a must.
I cannot emphasize enough the differance between the Severne and the rest.
I have to say "Sado" is the worst name for a sail (or any other product for that matter) that I have ever come across.
Sean, pretty lame joke anyway.
The sail LOOKS hot, and nice to see how you have taken the opportunity to promote it a bit too.
Hope to see you out on it though!
