Hi Folks,
Looking like plenty of green on the screen for this Sunday.
We are calling it on.
Check the Freerace Website for format details if your giving it a go for the first time.
Use the Windwanders site for registration and updates.
and Facebook for real time action on the day.
Thanks
FR crew.
Reminder that there will be some spare GT31's on the day, or bring your own GPS of other brands to record your own results.
Ladder of results and leader board will be compiled after Sundays results are added, tip is the more events you attend the more points you will rack up.
Big thanks to all our sponsors in supporting the series, providing some great prizes which anyone can win just by turning up!
Awesome prizes like this Flying Objects 'Transit' Harness, looks super comfy whilst giving great back support, more info at www.flyingobjects.com.au/
Still looking good for Freerace at Lake Cootharaba this Sunday, First Briefing will be 12.00pm, we will asses the wind on the day based on local conditions, be ready to hit the water from as early as 1.00PM, there are storms forecast so as soon as its windy we will be on the water to beat them.
We have an Awesome Black Project Fin to give away as a prize on Sunday, a Type R high performance Race fin, there is a lot of great feedback out there on these fins, so make sure you get a look at them.
Hang around at the end for presentations and a beer at the Pub, must be there to win. (random draw), along with other great prizes also.
For more info about Black Project Fins go to, blackprojecthawaii.com/
They have several fins in their range well suited for 'Free Race' and if you talk to Simon at Board Crazy and mention that you heard about the BP Fins through the 'Freerace series' you may even get your self a 'special deal' , rumour has it new stock has just arrived!
Please remember you can pay and pre register online for this event up until 8pm this evening. Click on link below. If you are planning on coming along it would be really helpful if you can PRINT OUT your registration form read it, fill it in and sign it and bring it with you tomorrow. Fantastic afternoon of Freeracing today. Great fun in the Sun! Storms were threatening but held off just long enough for us to get in our one hour for racing to give us some results. Big thanks to the Freerace committee, nice to have a cold beer at the pub afterwards and share out the great prizes. I had a great afternoon was pleased to find out I ended up in second place! Only negative was getting hailed on on the way home.
Was a great afternoon Sail, Thanks to the Freerace committee for a great day. The Hour time slot was pretty much perfectly timed with the wind, well done. - Only about 5 mins at the end when the wind dopped off..
Cheers
David
Here's a preliminary look at the current ladder board after 2 rounds, early days its anyone's at this point.
Basically sign on to an event =1 point, Most Km's sailed =10 , ranked 10-1
As the data program that records the results evolves we will add some other numbers such as total distance sailed and perhaps best 500m run speed.
