Looks like the wind gods will provide suitable conditions for an afternoon session at Narrow Neck tomorrow... Who's in? I'll be heading down at around 2:30pm - see you there!
What are the conditions like in a NEasterly? Pretty keen to try spots closer to home so I get more sailing time. Was going to head to Cudgen which I know is great in a NE.
I know that main beach is pretty good on a NE'er - small swell, constant breeze... Good parking at Narrow Neck, would be great to get a few flat water people out there!
There will be quite a crew going to cudgen tomorrow should be epic down there, I will be heading down early so I will keep you all updated
Damn, can't make it Friday, but Sunday looks good. Anyone looking to do the same thing (Cudgeon) Sunday?
Will probably just got for a quick freestyle session at manly after work.
Cudgen it is, with Lukey on the ground giving us the call its a no brainer. Will try and be there around 1-2
aus301 is on the money so far. It is a bit quiet down here (flat rock) so far today compared to yesterday. I might come up to Cudgen if Lukey gives it the nod. Clinton
Luke just messaged me to say he is going in on his 5.0 so I'm pretty sure we will be right as the seabreeze fills in.
Oh man, had a ball at Cudgen. Was great to see so many guys and gals (gal really, Kate was there carving it up as she does). I didn't count but I would guess around 12 on the water at one point.
It is just such a great spot, it's like a little Maui trip on a Friday afternoon with the added bonus of port tack conditions. Yee Haaaa!!!!
Saw you guys out there today , looked awesome and great to see so many out. Have a few pics to post. Great spot next time I will bring the windsurfing gear
Thanks fletchsewell; it was good to get out @ Narrowneck yesterday. even a difficult day in the waves beats a good day on the flat.see you out there again
It sure does charlibeaver! Only had half an hour out there and it was more than enough! Would be great to get more people out there this summer!
Yesterday must have been a record for number of people windsurfing cudgen ever. Had a top time and good to meet some new faces. Not that winter is anywhere near, but has anyone tried it in a south-westerly? Looking at the angle of the beach it could be side-shore/side-off in a SW? I'm speculating epic wavesailing if there is a strong SW wind and a little swell??
Hey Scot,
I would like to check out the wave spots mentioned (narrow heads & cudgen).
Can you give me an idea of exactly where they are mate?
Can I sail there on a 95L freeware?
Cheers,
Paul.
Sorry guys i couldnt get any closer. looked like you were all having fun. have a few more pics to post later

I was staying at peppers when I noticed some sails shining in the sun further up the beach so I put my new born in the stroller and jogged up the footpath to the car park just behind the beach, did some 4*4 with the push chair, don't think my daughter was too impressed with this, managed to fire a few shots off but I couldn't hang around as she was getting a little hungry and I didn't own the necessary tools for the job so I had to run back before she cracked it.
